Reliance Care & Support is an Allied Health Service and NDIS Provider serving the Western Melbourne community. We provide a broad range of Allied Health services to the Western Melbourne Suburbs, working with people with a wide range of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy, and Intellectual Disability.
About the Role
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver multidisciplinary Allied Health services in the delivery of culturally appropriate occupational therapy to the Melbourne community. This includes paediatric, adolescent, and adult caseloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver early childhood intervention and occupational therapy services to children and their support teams in the home, school, community, by telehealth, or in our therapy centres
- Deliver goal-directed therapy services to school-age children with learning, language, communication, sensory, intellectual, physical, and cognitive difficulties
- Conduct developmental assessments and play-based therapy
- Provide skill-focused occupational therapy and social skills support
- Complete functional assessments for clients
- Conduct SIL (Supported Independent Living) assessments
- Complete SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) assessments
- Assess and recommend home modifications (major and minor)
- Emphasise parent, teacher, and carer education to nurture change and support participation across environments
- Collaborate with each person's support team including psychologists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, and other occupational therapists
- Support clients and their support teams to develop and review therapy and support plans
About You
- AHPRA Registration and OT Australia Registration
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
- High level of organisational skills and professional manner
- Current Driver's Licence
- Current National Police Check, First Aid Certificate, and Working with Children Check
- Passion for helping people of all ages and ethnicity, including people with disabilities
- Capability to work with all stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for your clients
- The desire to be challenged and further progress your career
- Demonstrated experience working autonomously within your role
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
