What is Implanon?

Implanon (also known as Nexplanon) is a small, flexible rod about the size of a matchstick that is inserted under the skin of your upper arm. It releases a hormone called progestogen to prevent pregnancy.

It's one of the most effective forms of contraception available, with over 99% effectiveness. Once inserted, you don't need to think about contraception for up to 3 years.

Over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy
Lasts up to 3 years
